Our campsite – under a shady tree …
We setup the trailer … when ….
… we notice the little stowaway at the water outlet …
… and after hours in that tiny spot he seems to enjoy beeing free again :-).

The Brazos River – ever heard of it? … it is 840 miles long – longer than the river Elbe (with 680 miles) and the Rhine/Rhein River (with 760 miles) !!!

The park has a very diverse range of Ecosystems ….
Many wild flowers ….
Many Aligators ….
… and because of mating season – the gators are not just laying around
— we saw quite a bit of action …
“dancing”
‘jumping”
And the bull frogs are super loud!!
… lound and other frogs are interesting …
Turtles everywhere …
Many birds … small swallows …
Nesting Spoonbills
Yellow-crowned Night Heron
Black-crowned Night-Heron
Common Moorhen
The “Black-bellied Whistling Ducks” are super cute !
